Waitress Mom

She came from Thailand to USA five years ago. Both husband and wife are working hard to make sure that their kids get best out of America's education. They are sending their 4 kids (read again 4) to city prime suburb's private school where each child cost atleast thousand bucks. They decide to drive old car and live in a rented house but to make sure, their kids get best education.

And I wonder how people even dare to ask me that why I always tip that waitress so heavy in that thai restaurant ?

Shabe Qadar

I don't think shabe qadar is limited to one night of Ramadhan (That one night is just a ritual and sign of more deeper meaning). I believe its a 'given moment' which could happen in anyone's life - obviously few pious and choosen - not limited to any religion. Its a 'given moment' in which man get bestowed with that spark which joined him with eternal, with oneness as described by sufis as - 'monorealism'. It is a moment which is beyond time and space, which is eternal and like a big infinite circle full of peace, knowledge and harmony.

Amish tragedy

I always had natural fascination about Amish community and now I have so much respect for them. After going through such a horrendous tragedy when their children were shot dead without any reason (unbelievable crime ! How someone can even think of doing that) - the way they reacted so gracefully, is amazing. You may not agree with their believes but I see their character as 'role model' for other communities and religions. They are atleast honest and sincere in their teachings of forgiveness.
