I lived in villages for 4 years and am so very familiar with these wains and how they are performed especially coming to the village on for they will put the slippers back on their feet (were placed on top of the head while walking fo miles) and before entering the village where the death house is located and the wains can be heard in the village (loud enough to the villagers to know)
    It is an art and yes rownaq definitely

  3. Panjabi name I have forgotten now But when in the house one woman (the Wainer) will draw a ghunghat from her head on the similar ghunhgat of the other woman (like the home owner) and they will make almost singing type with long Taans back and forth as if competing with each other
    Yes definitely rawnaq that we children will enjoy though could not understand all the wordings

  5. I think when Ghalib said Noha-gar, he meant poetry at death like marsiya (for Imam Hussain).
