Kiya jis shaher main baraf girti hai uske makeen us shaher se mukhtalif hote hain jahan baraf nahi girti?

Hm.... Interesting. I've lived in both the Sunshine State (FL) and the Cloudy City (Lansing, MI).... Life is different in the superficial ways of you know... shoveling snow v. never shoveling snow.. seeing leaves change colors v. just hearing about it like a legend you're unsure of... but I wonder if there are deeper differences. I think for me a big difference with seasons v. no seasons (such as Florida) is you see the circle of life... you understand it better in places with seasons. You see with summer that all good things come to an end.. but that there is life after the cold and despair of winter.. You see trees die and appear lifeless and then see those very trees spring to life in the spring.... it's truly miraculous. I dont know if appreciate it more b/c I came from Florida or if its something all snow birds feel:)

Wow what a long post. I guess your quote moved me...

I believe snow has enormous power to get you way deeper inside of yourself. 2 episodes has enormous impact on me.

One wintery night under clear sky moon was full and whole city was white... While driving beside freezed michigan lake on chicago's lakeshore drive ..reflection of moonlite and whole pure silver moved my inside like no words. For a moment I was one with something all peace.

One time while in simlar circumstance I was driving downhill from whistler to vancouver.. and as you see snowy mountains running past behind you - in backview mirror - they appears like fairies dancing together with their reflections in lake.

It could also be not the snow, but you and your nature. Perhaps in most situations you could find time to pause and reflect. Some people can live in Hawaii or atop a snowy hiltop on the rocky mountains and never feel anything, snow or otherwise.

One thing I miss about the snow is how it absorbs the sound. When its falling in the dead of night the world becomes utterly silent. I will always remember that.

Being in a place with seasons makes me more aware of nature and feel more in tune with the cycle of life. I cannot imagine it otherwise.
