A text from a friend
Something personal happened in last 5-6 months which has prompted me to study philosophical aspects of “friendship”, starting from Socrates, Plato, to de Montaigne and current philosophers. I think this quote is painfully true:
“Everyone calls himself a friend, but only a fool relies on it: nothing is commoner than the name, nothing rarer than the thing.” ~ Jean de La Fontaine
