Jhoot

(Last 2 weeks were not easy as I had to console many people when a loved one died after a protracted illness)

"Sir! Kiya marte huwe insaan se jhoot bolna jaayiz hai - sirf is liye ke us ki maut sukoon se waqiye ho jaaye"

"Jhoot bolna koi achhi baat to nahi magar maut ka aakhri lamha is qadar giraN hota hai ke agar kahin aram (comfort) ki koi gunjaish nikal aaye to kher hai. Allah baRa raheem hai".

We as physicians are faced with this important ethical question every day in our practice in one form or the other
But there is no hard and fast rule one can state.

Yes Mystic I will briefly tell here my first experience
I was working in Psychiatric Hospital in England and admitted a pt. with behavior disturbance due to Huntington's chorea, His wife asked me about their older son, a handsome 20 year old who was seriously considering marrying a girl Whether she needs to tell the girl's family about this disease.
I did not know the immediate answer I presented the problem in Physicians meeting Noboby gave a clear answer
I dont remember exactly but I think I told her to tell the family
Like you say Very hard to determine but this was my introduction to the subject of ethics

I agree: Perception of truth is so different for each human being.
