Bachhe, Kainaat aur Sadaye kun-faya-kun

Einstein ne kaha tha: "The most important question science has to ask: Is universe human friendly?"

Aur Iqbal ne kaha tha: (Bale-jibril)

"Ye kaainaat abhi natamam hai shayed,
ke aa rahi hai dama-dam sadaye-kun-faya-kun"

Aur

Khalil Jibran ne is ki wazahat yun ki: "Jab tak bachhe is duniya main paida ho rahe hain, khuda abhi hum se maay'us  nahi huwa".

*Below is Einstein's full letter

"I think the most important question facing humanity is, ‘Is the universe a friendly place?’ This is the first and most basic question all people must answer for themselves.

"For if we decide that the universe is an unfriendly place, then we will use our technology, our scientific discoveries and our natural resources to achieve safety and power by creating bigger walls to keep out the unfriendliness and bigger weapons to destroy all that which is unfriendly and I believe that we are getting to a place where technology is powerful enough that we may either completely isolate or destroy ourselves as well in this process.

"If we decide that the universe is neither friendly nor unfriendly and that God is essentially ‘playing dice with the universe’, then we are simply victims to the random toss of the dice and our lives have no real purpose or meaning.

"But if we decide that the universe is a friendly place, then we will use our technology, our scientific discoveries and our natural resources to create tools and models for understanding that universe. Because power and safety will come through understanding its workings and its motives."

"God does not play dice with the universe," -

Albert Einstein

Your quotes Mystic appear fanciful but are not whimsical. All three are expressions of the same note even though melodies may be different. Einstein's note purely scientific but strikes at the depth of philosophy. It drives my thoughts to God like S. Aal-e-Imran Aya 191 "Rabbana ma khalaqta haza batila"
or S.Anbiya , aya 16, "Not for idle sport did WE create the heavens and earth and all that is in between".
The God (as if knowing what Einstein will ask) declares- S. Zukhruf Aya 11(HE) "that sends down rain from the sky in due measure"
and then S. Qamar, Aya 49: "Verily all things We have created in PROPORTION and MEASURE"
There are more examples of His being a "Muqtader" In Einstein's words all his creation is (has to be) Human friendly..
I will have to let you look up just these ayat of Quran to understand the meanings of Qadr in the quranic language. I often think of this at each Hsunami or earthquoake or floods or snowstorm whatever.I am trying to be brief so will not say much about Mehnaz's comment which I have gone through too.

I think "Qadar" is one of the most deeply philosophical concept of Quran. I wish I had time to write my thoughts on it as it needs elaboration. But agree!

Mehnaz:

There is lot of criticism on Iqbal like Jaun Elia says: "Iqbal ki shaeri chun chun ka murabba hai"

But - he is very ilhami - mind blowing - Magician of Urdu!
