it's hadis that with every soul that comes in this world shaitaan appoints one of the shyteen with it, and it's called qarreen or qurrein .

Qareen has been describes many places as jinn and at some places as human own astral body (anti-matter state of this body). I never found them read as naib of shyteen but very well may be. They can be good or bad but mostly described as bad and deceitful. They stay in the "system" and said to be mostly available on call. Many times theses are Qareen who visits pppl when they ask for soul to come in a glass etc. They live around us. Actually we all live together - humans, human souls, jinns, qareen, angels, evil beings...
Humans are protected by God's words and I don't think, any oter being has power to haunt them, unless you deliberately mess with them.

Qareen has said to have lives of centuries. They also carry good amount of 'ilm' and knowledge of future. Also, they can roam in universe as desired. These are the same species for which "surah naas" said...min sharril waswasil khannas, allazi uwaswisu fi sudurinnas, minal jinnati-wannas....
They play with human mind sets !!
When person dies qareen lives in this universe and roam. If man continue to grow as evil in this life his qareen will be stronger at death. Reincarnation is very debatable. I personally doubt it is a fact but simultaneously many evidences shows that it occurs. But if person given chane again of birth, he has to live and to control his qareen more than before.
I personally, found all these so misleading and confusing that..best teaching is to concentrate on one's 'amal' and ask for help from God.
