The following is a forwarded email about one's view on Hajj. This is controversial but I found it very interesting.
"....I would strongly condemn the ban on the non muslim to enter the Haram(kaaba). I think it should be open to everyone. Its beacuse the basic focus of Quran is on An'naas and not Muslaymeen. There are more ayah with 'Ya'ayuhannaso' compared to 'Ya'ayuhal momayneen'........"

So allow non-muslims to enter Haram to do what really? Did they mentioned that too? they want to make it a tourist attraction??!!!
Do they also want to enter our mosques? Dont think so because that they can do. So no more a challenge for them.
It was a world "fair"in Knoxville Tennessee. Theme was ënergy. We (myself, my wife and our two children) were looking around all counties of the world and their stalls and lo and behold we suddenly saw a flag with La Ilaha illallah (S. Arabia) and there was a long line outside waiting to see in their "tent". hmm were intrigued what could Saudi Arabia offer other than Oil?
That is old now.
"O! ye who believe, Truely the Pagans are unclean, so let them not, after this year of theirs approach the sacred Mosque and....."
I'm afraid that is the decision of the most wise and most compassionate, the Almighty and in this we as human beings have no choice. Strictly speaking we cannot even give an opinion.
If the writer is a Muslim he must see that by saying such strong words of condemnation he is challanging his Creator, which is a characteristic of non-believers frequently described in Qurán.
I am therefore unable to say it is acceptable. If he is a non-Muslim, no problem.
What the heck, we decided to join the line.
As we entered inside there was another tent like a dome and there was another line.
Ya Allah yeh majra kia hay. There was nothing much for energy showing. There must be something inside the dome like tent, so we joined that line until we entered that dome.
There was a video of Haram Kába, being shown.
We were the only Muslims.
I agree with BSC. The point behind that statement would have been clearer if it was known who made it, muslim or non-muslim.
Regardless of that, Allah's decision is final and who are we to question that.
Yes, the above email is very much from a muslim guy..(as far as I can tell from name and bunch of urdu lines in remaining email).
And I am sure there will be arguments on both sides but the reason I posted here is to reveal an angle of approach and intellectual diversity, different muslims have.
As one need passport with visa to enter US and even if you have all supporting documents they can deny you without any reason....as no one can embrace judisim until they are born with it how fair is that than????????
Same is for my HARUM!!!!!!!
Anoony - I found this line very interesting
