maran bhoomi

"He never traveled ever. And as he landed and came out of this country's airport, he collapsed and died".

Kiya ye sach hai?
- ke jese har insaan ki janam bhoomi (place of birth) mutayyan hai
- wese hi - us ki maut kis zameen pe ho gi? - ye be destined hai?

"Janam bhoomi", "maran bhoomi" to door ki baat, "karam bhoomi" (place of one's work) ka intikhaab bhi apne hath me nahiN dikhta :P

Two quotes
A story goes that malikul maut was puzzled on a man who was sitting in Lahore (just my choice) and he was supposed to die in Gujrat ( just 2-3 hours by car) where he would take his soul, Suddenly the man got up and got into his car and had the fatal accident in Gujrat at the appropriate time
Next Aya number 34 (last aya) of Sura 31 (Luqman) Allah says no one knows in what land he will work and in what land he will die. (My older sis lived in England where I met her on 5th Feb 2005 and she travelled to Pakistan on 11th Feb. and died in Rawalpindi a week later--that aya was quoted by my son who is a Hafiz)

Agree!

A lot of things pre-destined.

As per classic Urdu poet Mir Taqi Mir

Na-haq hum majburoN per ye tohmat hai mukhtari ki
Chahte hain so aap karen hain, hum ko abas badnaam kiya
