Samad

 اللہ الصمد 

عطاءاللہ شاہ بخاری فرماتے ہیں کہ میں جیل میں تھا تو مجھے خیال آیا کہ قرآن مجید کا وہ ترجمہ پڑھنے کی سعادت حاصل کروں جو حضرت شاہ عبدالقادر ؒ نے لکھا ہے۔ میں نے قرآن مجید جیل میں منگوایا اور پڑھنا شروع کیا جب میں اللہ الصمد پر پہنچا تواللہ الصمد کا جو معنی شاہ عبد القادر ؒ نے کیا تھا وہ میں نے اس سے پہلے نہ سنا نہ پڑھا تھا۔ 

حضرت نے اللہ الصمد کا معنی ”نراسترک“لکھا ہوا تھا جو مجھے سمجھ نہ آیا میں بڑا بےچین ہو گیا پھر مجھے خیال آیا جیل میں ہندو پنڈت بھی قید ہے اس سے نراسترک کا معنی پوچھتا ہوں 

حضرت عطاءاللہ شاہ بخاری لکھتے ہیں

"میں اس پنڈت کے پاس گیا اس ساری بات کی اور کہا کہ نراسترک کے کیا معنی ہیں میرا پوچھنا تھا کہ پنڈت وجد میں آ کر جھومنے لگا  میں کافی پریشان ہو گیا کہ میں نے معنی پوچھا اسے دیکھو کیا ہو گیا کافی دیر کے بعد وہ اپنی کیفیت میں واپس آیا تو میں نے اسے کہا اللہ کے بندے میں نے تو نراسترک کا معنی پوچھا اور تو وجد میں آگیا ایسا کیا ہے؟ 

پنڈت نے جواب دیا سن سکے گا 

میں نے جواب دیا ہاں کیوں نہیں

پنڈت بولا تو پھر سن 

”نراسترک“سنسکرت زبان کا لفظ ہے اس کے معنی ہیں۔

"وہ جس کا کام کوئی روک نہیں سکتا اور اگر وہ  نہ چاہے تو کسی کا کام ہو نہیں سکتا“

شاہ صاحب فرماتے ہیں 

بس اس کے بعد مجھے کوئی ہوش نہ تھا  پتہ نہیں کب تک میری یہ کیفیت رہی۔

 Zindagi main aksar aese jawab milte hain, insaan ko kuch der ke liye chup lag jaati hai

'Chat-group' pe dostoN ki gup-shup chal rahi thi - kisi ne poocha: "Sab se ziyada dukh kahan milte hain?"

Aik ne jawab diya: "Ma-baap ke dil main!'

On perfect cleaning

 Meri zindagi main kai shahkar insaan aaye hain. 

Residency ke dino main hamara aik roommate tha - Athar. Ab to uska naam bhi sochta hun to hansi aati hai.

Hum sab ne apne kaam baanth rakhe the. Mere zimme ghar ki grocerry laana, Aleem ke zimme mail collect kerna, Asghar pe khana pakana (kiunke iska kaam mushkil tha to use roommate ki sharing main discount milta)..aur aese dusre kaam hum baant lete.

Athar taqreeban rozana apartment ki aadhi addhi safaii kerta - kabhi poori safaii aik saath nahi kerta - daanista kuch hissa choR deta. 

Hum kehte: "Oh bhai! tera bhi roz waqt zaaya hota hai aur hume bhi koft hoti hai. Aik hi dafa main saari safaii ker le to 4/5 roz ka aaram rahe".

Us ka jawab hota: "Jahan insaan rehte hon, wahan har waqt kuch na kuch be-tarteeb rehna chahiye, werna sab kuch bohat 'fake' lagta hai. Jab tak ghar kuch kuch be-tarteeb rahe, aehsaas rehta hai ke yahan log rehte hain." !!!

Hum us ki mantiq pe sir jhatak dete aur sab kuch wesa hi chalne dete.

Zameen Raas Aana

 My Grandmother (dadi) never wanted to leave India during the partition. She was a firm believer that: "Kuch zameenain insaan ko raas aati hain aur kuch nahi". And this may be true as our family never found solace in the new land of pure (another debate).

I met many (and many) intelligent souls in North America over the last 3 decades who were extremely hard-working, honest, and wise - but - never found success with migration to the west.

میری خالہ دور شہر میں

On Bertrand Russell's quote

Although I disagree with Bertrand Russell's following observation, but it also tells me that Islam's extreme amalgamation with real/practical life is validated. On a personal note, I think Bertrand Russel is referring to political Islam after Mohammad's death, and not to the real Quranic Islam which values are nearer to other Abrahamic religions and Buddhism.

“Among religions, Bolshevism is to be reckoned with Mohammedanism rather than with Christianity and Buddhism. Christianity and Buddhism are primarily personal religions, with mystical doctrines and a love of contemplation. Mohammedanism and Bolshevism are practical, social, unspiritual, concerned to win the empire of this world. Their founders would not have resisted the third of the temptations in the wilderness. A literary Joke

حفیظ جالندھری کی طبیعت خراب ہوئی تو حکیم فقیر محمد چشتی کے پاس علاج کے لیے گئے. مرض کی تشخیص کے بعد حکیم صاحب نے انہیں پرہیز بتایا:

 " آپ نے اب کوئی دماغی کام نہیں کرنا"

جالندھری نے کہا:

" میں شاہنامہ اسلام لکھ رہا ہوں"

حکیم صاحب بولے:

 "وہ لکھتے رہو"----

Aik khubsurat dua

 Mumtaz Mufti likhte hain partition se pehle unke ghar aik hindu pandit kaa aana huwa. Mumtaz Mufti ki amma ne un se kaha - is bachhe ke liye koi dua karain. 

Unhon ne dua di ke - bhagwan kare ise zindi main achhe log milain. 

Mumtaz mufti kehte hain, isi dua ki badolat unki mulaqat Qudratullah Shahab, Ashfaq Ahmad, Banu Qudsia aur Ibne Insha se ho gai.
