Paanch Farar

Jab "Urdu main novel-nigari" (here)  wali post likh raha tha to aik laRka 'Yasir Gondal' bohat yaad aaya.

Us din mujeh pata laga ke kiun "khol do" Urdu ki sab se baRi kahani hai (Us raat main bohat roya). Itni knowledge kese aa gai tere paas?" to kamina zor zor se hasne laga. Kehne laga:

"Dekh Bhai! Sharif aadmi ke liye Gurbat se nafsiyaati farar ke 5 raaste hote hain:  Sharab, Mazhab, Banduq, jisam-faroshi ya Kitab. Is Zia ke Islami nizaam ne mazhab se dil uchaaT ker diya hai, - Sharab sharifoN ka shewa nahi. Reh gai Kitab - to bhai - mere aur tere jese log isi se masturbation ker ke kaam chala rahe hain! Is liye na to mujhe kabhi is pe koi fakhar huwa na naaz, bulke ulta sharminda aur dara dara sa hi rehta hun, ke kahin meri chori na pakRi jaaye".

My comment is slightly related. It is moeso in Panjabi custom that yar dost make a 'gali' with each othermore as an expression of closeness as well as piar muhabbat. Like you mention about him one of my friends from medschool still calls me (before talking) "oyay haramzaday" but he has to make sure our wives are not listening. He recently lost his wife. But inaddition the expression given above was his lightest because he was a frequent user of many panjabi galies of more complicated varieties which only panjabis know more.
You 'sala' (is Urdu-speaking type) reminds me of film Taxi driver's dialogues when devanand tries to teach "mala" about how to speak like a boy (It was my fav movie)
