3 Nayab 'Women'

Duniya main 3 aurtain nayab hoti hain.

1. Aik woh jo jaanti hain 'makup' kahan rokna hai.

2. Dusri woh jo janti hain, jhagra kahan chor dena hai.

3. Teesri woh jo janti hain, mard ko kis had tak tarsana hai.

Women and gifts !!

Aurat tohfon (gifts) se khush hoti hai !

Punjabi ki aik lok kahani (folk stoy) hai

"A husband went off to a war and came back after 12 years. With all his saved money he bought a Khoti (She Donkey) so it helps her wife in work. So, the wife asks, after twelve years of absence what have you brought for me and the husband says, a khoti (she donkey). The wife says that I was able to bear the sorrow of 12 years but I can't take sorrow of this poor gift. If that is all you have brought for me after all this time, then perhaps we cannot live together".

Baari barseen khattan gaya tai khat kai kyanda kee
Khat kai lyandi khotee, meree teree naheen wasneeN!

Mard aur Ghar

Ye aik talkh haqiqat hai magar sachhi baat hai ke: "Mard ka waqar us waqt tuk hai, jub tuk woh ghar se bahir hai" !

(Matlab mard jitna ghar se bahir reh ker roti ka kasab kerta hai, us ki utni hi izzat rehti hai. Ghar pe ziyada rehne se mard apna waqar kho deta hai).

Bheriye

Peechli post kalank main aik aesi aurat ke qissa tha jo zulm se bachne ke liye muashre ki parwah kiye bagair 'bhag gai', magar hur aurat main itni himmat nahi hoti, ya kisi aur wajah se woh 'domestic violence' ka zulm sehti rehti hai. Ab un aurton ki bhi 'logic' sun lijye.

Amma ko masjid main 'niaz' dene ka shoq tha. Itna saara khana banane ke liye amma ke paas aik 'kaam wali bai' aati thi. Woh aaye din amma ke aage apne 'marad' ka dhukra roti rehti. Aik din amma ne kaha, 'jub itna maarta hai to chor kiun nahi deti, tumhari to beti bhi biah chuki hai".

Us ne jawab diya: "Begum, maarta to bohut hai magar phir sochti hun aik mard ka naam to saath hai. Tumhe malum nahi begum, jub aurat ke saath kisi mard ka naam na laga ho to kese kese bheriye (monsters / foxes) aas paas jama ho jaate hain".

Libas !

saugoree uncle is my must read blog. I always learn something from him. See this beautiful interpretation I learned for surah baqara, ayat 187

"Hunna libasul-lakum wa antum libasul-lahun"
"they (wives) are an apparel for you and you are an apparel for them"

God describes man and woman as "Libas" (garment) for each other which is a good way of describing how man should cover her defects and she covers his defects to make them look nice (and feel good about each other).

Polybookamous

Aisha ne jo recent post likhi he: Aisha, the bookworm, us ko parh ker mujhe aik baat ka andaza huwa ke:

When it comes to gender, men are polygamous and women are monogamous (for which men always receive bashing from women)

But

When it comes to book, women are polybookamous and men are monobookamous (but men don't get jealous!)

I seldom see man reading 4/5 books simultaneously. I think men are more focused....lol.
